The Light of the World Church
The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
John 1:5
Our Vision
Our vision is to lead Farsi speakers in the Netherlands to salvation, healing, freedom, and a victorious life, to fulfill the prophecy of Jeremiah 49. We believe God has a special plan for the Iranian people and that He is shining His light upon them in this time, both in the Netherlands and worldwide.
Our Mission
We are an evangelical church building on what God has done in the Netherlands through the development of vibrant and Spirit-filled churches. We celebrate our services with music, singing, and dynamic interaction between pastor and congregation, with room for joy, prayer and worship. We stand when the Gospel is read, out of reverence for God’s Word. We also focus on Farsi-speaking believers so they can freely hear the Word of God, grow in faith, and discover their calling.
Our Values
Our values form the heart of who we are and describe the core qualities we want to express in fulfilling our mission and vision: • Personal conversion and faith experience – A living relationship with Jesus Christ. • Social involvement – Caring for one another and being a blessing to society. • Family focus – Valuing the unity and role of the family. “He will turn the hearts of the fathers to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers.” — Malachi 4:6
Our Beliefs
Our statements of faith are not a full description of every aspect of life and belief but summarize our core beliefs as a community of Christ’s followers. We believe in the power of the Gospel, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the calling of the Church to be the light of the world.
