Policy Plan

Christian Community 'The Light of the World' is a young, dynamic and contemporary church with a wide diversity of cultures and denominations. The congregation consists of various nationalities. We want to help seekers become devoted followers of Jesus Christ and support believers to grow in fellowship and in a living relationship with Jesus Christ.

Goals

  • Promoting knowledge of and involvement with the Christian faith for Farsi speakers in the Netherlands and abroad.
  • Supporting believers to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Offering spiritual, educational, and social activities for children, youth and adults.
  • Helping people with practical challenges in daily life, including supporting refugees.
  • Spreading the gospel through events, media, and personal encounters.

Activities

  • Services: Weekly church services in Almere and online, with clear biblical teaching and room for personal encounter.
  • Children’s Programs: Helping children become disciples of Jesus and grow in their faith in a loving environment.
  • Core Groups: Small group meetings during the week to discover who Jesus is and follow Him in daily life.
  • Courses: Practical Bible courses to better understand the Word of God.
  • Refugee Support: Engagement with Farsi-speaking refugees in the Netherlands, supporting social participation such as integration and naturalization.

Financial Policy

  • Income consists of donations, gifts and other legal sources.
  • Expenses are used exclusively for the church's purposes.
  • Annual financial report and transparent bookkeeping according to ANBI guidelines.

Evaluation & Future

The policy plan is evaluated annually and adjusted where necessary. The church strives for sustainable growth in spiritual and social impact and wants Farsi speakers to experience what it means to know and follow God.
